7 | oz | Box of baby macaroni shells |
1 | lb | Ground beef |
1 | cl | Garlic, minced |
1 | | Onion, chopped |
1/2 | c | Dry red wine |
1 | cn | Tomatoes, 1 lb. 13 oz. |
6 | oz | Can of tomato paste |
1/2 | c | Chopped parsley |
1 | c | Water |
1 | ts | Dry basil |
1 | ts | Oregano |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Pepper |
| | Grated Parmesan cheese |
Brown meat, onion and garlic together. Add wine, tomatoes, water and
paste. Add chopped parsley, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1
hour, stirring occasionally. Pour sauce over cooked baby shells and top
with cheese. We prepare the sauce the day before and keep it in the fridge
