Title: Nuoc Cham Thong Dung (Spring Roll Dipping Sauce)

1 | Clove of garlic | |
4 | tb | Fish sauce |
4 | tb | Lime (or lemon) juice |
3 | tb | Sugar (or less to taste) |
4 | Hot red or green chillies. |
peel and crush the garlic. Combine with the fish sauce, lime or lemon juice, sugar and 4 tablespoons of water. Mix well and pour into 4 individual serving bowls. Slice the chillies crossways into fine rounds, and divide them between the bowls.
