Title: Date Nut Bread

1 1/2cWhite flour
5tsBaking powder
1 1/2tsSalt
1/4tsBaking soda
1 1/2cGraham or whole wheat flour
1cSliced dates
1cCoarsely chopped nuts
1/2cBrown sugar
1 1/2cMilk
1/4cMolasses

Pit dates and cut into 5 or 6 slices with scissors or sharp knife. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Add sugar, milk, and molasses. Add graham flour in which dates and nuts have been dredged. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (375ø F) 1 hour. 1 loaf.
