Title: Buttermilk Dessert

1 | qt | Buttermilk |
1 | tb | Salt |
4 | lg | Eggs (separated) |
1 | c | Sugar |
2 1/2 | c | Flour |
1/4 | lb | Butter, melted |
12 | oz | Creamed Cottage Cheese |
TOPPING | ||
1/4 | lb | Butter |
1 | c | Sour cream |
ds | Sugar & cinnamon to taste |
Beat egg yolks until lemon colored. Add sugar, salt and melted butter. Add flour alternately with buttermilk, then add the creamed cottage cheese.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Pour mixture into two greased 13 x 9 x 1/2 inch pans. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to taste. Drizzle butter on top, followed with the sour cream.
Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 50 minutes OR until it is brown around the edges.
Serve warm or cold
