Title: Spiced Apple Rings-1

6 | md | Apples;firm |
| | Sugar substitute to equal>>> |
1 1/2 | c | Sugar |
2 | | Sticks cinnamon |
3 | | Whole cloves |
1 1/2 | c | Cranberry juice;unsweetened |
1/4 | c | Lemon juice |
Wash and core apples; slice unpeeled into thick slices. Place in flat pan.
Combine remaining ingredients, and boil 5 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup juice
mixture, and set aside. Pour remaining juice mixture over apple slices.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples slices appear
transparent; baste occasionally with the 1/4 cup juice mixture. Serve Hot
or Cold as a garnish for your Salad. Or by itself: Yield: 12 - 1/2 cup
