2 | c | Salmon |
3/4 | c | Diced celery |
2 | | Thin slices bacon, chopped |
1/2 | c | Boiling water |
2 | tb | Melted shortening |
3/4 | c | Chopped onion |
1 | ts | Salt |
2 | | Thin slices lemon |
Combine shortening, bacon, celery, onion, and salt. Fry until light brown.
Place salmon in center of baking pan. Place slices of lemon on top of
salmon. Arrange cooked vegetables and bacon around salmon. Add water.
Cover. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) about 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10
minutes. 6 servings. The Household Searchlight
