Title: Hot Buttered Rum Mix

Yield: 1 Lg. bowl
1 | lb | Light brown sugar |
1 | lb | Confectioners sugar |
1/2 | lb | Butter, at room temperature |
1 | qt | Vanilla ice cream* |
Boiling water for each drink | ||
Light Rum - to taste | ||
ds | Ground nutmeg for garnish |
* Have ice cream slightly melted.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, blend the first four ingredients together well.
To make one drink, put 2 tablespoons of the ice cream mixture in a large mug. Add one jigger of rum (or to taste) and fill the mug with boiling water.
Garnish the top with the nutmeg.
A non alcoholic version is also great for the children.
Freeze any of the remaining ice cream mixture in a plastic container for future use.
