Title: Quick Tortoni - Glorious Liqueurs

1/2 | c | Slivered almonds |
1 | qt | Vanilla ice cream, softened |

2 | tb | Amaretto |
8 | Amaretti cookies, crushed |
Toast almonds in a 300F. oven until lightly brown. Let cool, then chop finely.
Quickly but thoroughly fold in all but 3 tablespoons of the almonds and amaretto into the ice cream. Put in serving dish and freeze until firm.
Remove about 10 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with crumbs and remaining almonds. Serve at once.
