Title: Raspberry Syrup (Green and Gold)

2lbRaspberries; mashed
1ptWater *
FOR EACH PINT OF JUICE
1lbSugar
1/2tsTartaric acid
1/4cVinegar

* 1 imperial pint = 20 fl.oz = 1 1/4 pints US

Mix the mashed raspberries with the water. Let it remain until next day, then drain through a bag. To every pint of juice add 1 pound of sugar and 1/2 ts of tartaric acid. Boil for 20 minutes. Add 1/4 cup of vinegar just before removing from the fire. Serve diluted with water.
