Title: Apple and Vanilla Fritters

1 | Basic fritter batter | |
3 | Apple, sweet eating | |
1 | tb | Lemon juice |
1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
2 | tb | Sugar, brown |
Make the batter without adding the egg white and set it aside. Peel and core the apples and cut them into 1/4 inch slices. Sprinkle them with the lemon juice, vanilla extract and sugar and leave them for 15 minutes. Stiffly whip the egg whites and fold them into the batter. Dip in the apple slices and fry until golden brown.
