Title: Apple Tart I

2 | tb | Unsalted butter, melted |
2 | ts | Cornstarch |
1/4 | ts | Ground cinnamon |

In a medium-sized bowl, stir together the applesauce, brown sugar, butter, cornstarch, cinnamon and cloves until blended. Spoon into the pie shell and spread level. Thinly slice the apples crosswise, keeping the apple shape. Flatten the apples slightly; slide a knife under the sliced apples and arrange on the tart. Sprinkle evenly with the granulated sugar.
Bake in a preheated 375F oven for 1 hour, until browned. Cool on a rack and serve warm or at room temperature.
Makes 8 servings.
