Title: Apple-Crisp Cookies

1 | c | Shortening |
1/2 | c | Butter or margarine |
1 1/2 | c | Brown sugar; packed |
1 | c | Granulated sugar |
1 | pk | .7-oz instant spiced apple- flavored drink mix |
1 | tb | Ground cinnamon |
1 1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1 1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | ts | ;salt |
3 | Eggs | |
2 | ts | Vanilla |
3 | c | All-purpose flour |
3 | c | Quick-cooking rolled oats |
1 1/2 | c | Raisins |
1 1/2 | c | Chopped dried apple pieces |
Preheat oven to 350ø.
In an extra large mixing bowl beat shortening and butter with mixer on medium tohigh for 30 seconds. Add dugars, drink mix, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat till combined, scaping the bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla till combined. Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer. With a wooden spoon, stir in remaining flour, oats, raisins, and dried apples.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in oven for about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
