4		Eggs
1/2	lb	Butter
1 1/2	c	Sugar
1	pn	Salt
3	c	Flour, self-raising
1	c	Milk
2	tb	Cocoa

Beat the eggs and sugar till a stiff froth, then add the butter [melted], then the milk gradually, and lastly the sifted flour in which cocoa has been added.

put in a greased caketin and bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes. Can cover with a good chocolate icing when cold.
