Title: Chocolate Candy Cookies

1/2 | c | Butter; softened (1 stick) |
1/3 | c | Sugar |
1 | lg | Eggs |
1 | ts | Extract, vanilla |
1 1/3 | c | Flour |
36 | x | Chocolate, candy-coated M&Ms |
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 2 baking sheets.
Beat together butter and sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. At low speed, gradually beat in flour until well blended.
Shape dough into 1" balls. Place cookies, 2 inches apart, on prepared baking sheets. Press a chocolate candy into the center of each cookie.
Bake cookies until just lightly golden, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer baking sheets to wire racks to cool slightly. Transfer cookies to racks to cool completely.
Baking tips: To make a cookie assortment, divide dough in half. Roll 1
dough half into a long rope; cut into 18 equal pieces. Roll each piece
into a 6" rope. Place 2 ropes side by side; twist ropes together and form
into a circle. Pinch ends to seal.
