Categories: Brownies Cake
Yield: 30 Servings
1/2 | lb | Unsalted butter |
3 | tb | Cocoa powder |
3/4 | c | Dark brown sugar |
3/4 | c | Sugar |
1 | ts | Vanilla extract |
2 | Eggs | |
1 | ts | Baking powder |
2 1/4 | c | Flour |
2 | c | Semisweet chocolate chips |
Preheat the oven to 375. Grease a jellyroll pan. In a large heavy saucepan over medium heat, begin melting the butter. When it's about half melted, remove from the heat and stir until the butter is completely melted. Stir in the cocoa powder, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Add the baking soda in pinches, breaking up any lumps with your fingers. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour and scrape the batter into the pan. Spread evenly and smooth the top. Bake for 23 minutes, or until the cake is just set. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack for 10 minutes. Leave the cake in the pan and cut into 60 pieces.
