Title: Chocolate Scotch Shortbread Cookies (Xmas)

2 | c | Flour |
1/2 | c | Unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 | c | Confectioners' sugar |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Mace |
1 | c | Unsalted butter, cut into |
Chunks | ||
1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
Preheat oven to 300øF. In food processor or with electric mixer combine dry ingredients, butter chunks, and vanilla. Mix well until dough holds together. By hand, work dough until smooth; shape into a ball and flatten. Flour board and rolling pin. Roll dough evenly to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut cookies into desired shape with floured cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, prick in center with fork. Bake 25-30 minutes or until firm. Do not overbake. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
