Title: Cottage Cheese Dessert (Alivenca) Romania

Yield: 4 Servings
2 | lb | Cottage cheese, drained |
8 | Eggs, beaten or | |
2 | c | Eggbeaters |
4 | tb | Cornmeal |
1 | tb | Cornstarch or cornflour |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
2 | ts | Butter |
1 | c | Sour cream or imitation |
1/4 | c | Sugar |
Beat the cottage cheese in a bowl until smooth. add the eggs and continue beating until well mixed. add the corn meal, cornstarch, and salt and beat together. Preheat oven to 350 deg. Butter a 9 inch spring-form pan and pour the mixture into it. Dot with the butter. Bake in a 350 deg oven for 35 minutes or until delicately brown. remove the sides of the spring form. Serve hot, garnished with sour cream and sprinkled with sugar.
Note: I prefer some crushed nuts with the sugar, added to the sour cream
