SEASON: Supplies are best from October through December.
LOOK FOR: Plump, firm, glossy light to dark red berries. Avoid shriveled, discolored, or moist cranberries.
TO STORE: Refrigerate cranberries; use them within 1 to 2 weeks. to freeze cranberries for longer storage, leave them in their original bag and place it in the freezer. Do not wash cranberries before freezing them.
TO PREPARE: Wash the cranberries and remove any stems; drain them well. Frozen cranberries do not need to thaw. When you wish to use them, just rinse with cold water and drain.
