Title: Green Loquat Chutney (Chatni Kachche Lukaat Ki)

8 | Green loquats | |
2 | oz | Mint leaves |
2 | sm | Green chillies |
1/2 | ts | White cumin seeds |
Sea salt; to taste | ||
Water; as needed |
A real scoop for lovers of the exotic! Persuade your Indian grocer to obtain some loquats, and a fantastic taste comes to your dining table with this chutney. Serve with any meal or savoury snack.
1. Wash and dry the loquats; then halve them and remove the seeds.
2. Place on a "sil" together with the mint, chillies, cumin and salt, and using the "batta" grind them coarsely (alternatively use the motar and pestle or an electric grinder).
3. Add enough water to obtain the desired consistency; then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
4. Serve as needed.
