Title: Green Tomato Chutney (Chatni Kachche Tamaata Ki)

4 | md | Green tomatoes |
4 | Spring onions | |
2 | tb | Green coriander; chopped |
1 | Green chilli; chopped | |
1/2 | ts | Fresh ginger; grated |
Sea salt; to taste | ||
Lemon juice; as required |
A delightful chutney, although it has no claim to fame! The consistency of this chutney can be thick or thin according to your preference; add lemon juice to make it thinner. A good picnic food provided it is not too thin.
1. Wash and dry the tomatoes and onions, then chop them up.
2. Place them, together with the coriander (cilantro), chilli, : ginger over a sil and grind coarsely with the batta; or use : an electric grinder.
3. Remove to a serving dish; add lemon juice as needed if the : chutney is too thick and lumpy for your taste.
4. Refrigerate before serving.
