Title: Grandma's Banana Cookies

1 1/2 | c | Flour |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Nutmeg |
1/4 | ts | Cinnamon |
3/4 | c | Shortening (she uses marg) |
1/2 | c | Brown sugar |
1/2 | c | White sugar |
1 | Egg (or sub) | |
1 | c | Mashed bananas |
1 3/4 | c | Dry oats |
1/2 | c | Chopped nuts |
Preheat oven 375
Mix flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Cream margerine and sugars. Beat in egg, add mashed banana and then dry ingredients. Stir in oats.
Drop on ungreased sheets, bake 15 mins or until tops are slightly brown.
Grandma's note: I used 1/3c brown sugar and 1/3c white sugar. Also, 1/2c shortening. I decorated with chocolate chips. From Grandma Lawton Typed by Lisa Greenwood
