1 | cn | Pears |
1 | Lime jelly | |
8 | oz | Seedless green grapes |
4 | tb | Heather Cream Liqueur |
1/4 | pt | Double (heavy) cream |
** British Measurements **
Place a thin layer of trifle sponge on the base of a trifle bowl and sprinkle some Heather Cream over it.
Put about half of the grapes on top of the sponge, if they are large, split them.
Place a second layer of sponge on top of the grapes and again sprinkle some Heather Cream on top.
Drain the tin (can) of pears and spread two thirds of the pears, sliced, onto the sponge and cover with the final layer of trifle sponge.
Make up the jelly with 1/2 pint / 280 ml boiling water, add the juice from the pears, then make up liquid to 1 pint / 560 ml and pour it over the trifle.
