Title: Maryland Black Pepper Cookies~

2 | Eggs -- separated | |
1 | c | Brown sugar |
1 | c | Flour |
1 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Ground cloves |
1/4 | ts | Black pepper |
1/4 | ts | Baking soda |
1/4 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | c | Raisins & nuts |
Beat eggs whites and yellows separately. Then beat together. Add sugar & mix well. Sift dry ingredients & add to eggs. Stir in raisins and nuts. Add more flour if needed. The dough should be stiff. Drop by tbsp onto greased sheet. Bake at 375 for about 7 mins.
Makes about 5 doz.
