Take 2 eggs, 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of lard, 1 1/2 pints of sour milk, 1 teaspoonful of soda, 1 teaspoonful of cream of tartar and enough flour to roll nicely. Cut, and fry in boiling lard to which has been added 1 teaspoonful of vinegar. (Westminster, Md.)
