2 | Glasses/400ml sunflower oil | |
4 | tb | Caster sugar |
Grated rinds of 2 oranges | ||
And 2 lemons | ||
1 | Glass/200ml orange juice | |
Juice of 1 lemon | ||
2 | lb | Plain flour |
1 | ts | Baking powder |
1 1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
Syrup: | ||
2 | Glasses caster sugar | |
1 1/2 | Glasses water | |
2 | tb | Honey |
Coarsely ground almonds for | ||
Decoration |
First make the syrup: heat the sugar and water gently until dissolved, then boil for 10 minutes. Add the honey and leave syrup to cool.
For the buns: sprinkle over coarsely ground almonds before serving.
