Title: Red Devil Magic Mayonnaise Cake

Yield: 1 Servings

2cFlour
1cReal mayonnaise
1cSugar
1cCold water (or cold coffee for mocha flavor)
1/3cCocoa
2tsBaking soda
1/2tsSalt

Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all cake ingredients in bowl and whisk until very smooth. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch round pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until done. Let cool 5 minutes in pan, then turn out and cool completely on wire racks. Fill and frost with Devil's Food Fudge Frosting.

This novelty cake of the 1950's became a popular conversation piece dessert. Mayonnaise replaces eggs and oil in the recipe.

3 cups confectioner's sugar 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened 3 tbsp water or cold coffee 1 tsp vanilla

Combine all ingredients in bowl and beat until smooth and creamy.
