Prepare and roll out basic cookie dough according to recipe directions. With 2 1/2-star cookie cutter, cut out 36 cookies. Place one cookie on greased baking sheet; place end of wooden craft stick in center of cookie. Top with another cookie, enclosing top 1/2-inch of stick. Repeat with remaining cookies. Decorate with writing gels or sprinkle with holiday sprinkles or colored crystal sugars, if desired. Bake and cool as recipe directs. Decorate cookies as desired with decorating icings and tips, writing gels, candies, holiday sprinkles and colored crystal sugars. Allow decorations to set. Wrap cookie portion of Pop in red or green plastic wrap or cellophane; secure at top and bottom with ribbon.
