Title: Tasty Diet Brownies

2/3 | c | Flour; sifted |
1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1 | Egg (or egg substitute) | |
1/2 | c | Dietetic maple syrup |
Non-nutritive sweetener equivalent to 2 ts sugar | ||
1 | oz | Unsweetened baking chocolate melted |
1/3 | c | Walnuts; chopped |
1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
Preheat oven to 350F. Measure flour, add baking powder and salt; sift again. Beat egg 1 minute, or shake egg substitute. Add syrup and sweetener, beating 2 minutes. Add melted chocolate, blending well. Add flour and stir (do not beat) until smooth. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread batter 1/2 to 3/4-inch deep in a greased 8-inch square pan or 9-inch pie pan. Bake 40 minutes.
