1/3 | c | Seedless white raisins |
1/4 | c | Chopped candied cherries |
1/4 | c | Chopped angelica |
1/4 | c | Kirsch |
4 1/4 | c | Vanilla Ice Cream |
Use ice cream that has been made to the half-frozen state or softened
already made ice cream. Mix the sultanas (seedless white raisins), cherries
and angelica in a small bowl and pour the Kirsch over them. Cover and set
aside to marinate for at least an hour. Drain the fruit and combine it with
the half-frozen or softened ice cream. Mix well to distribute the fruit
evenly throughout the mixture. Return to the freezer trays and still-freeze
until firm. Makes about 1.2 litres 2 pints 5 cups Variation Other fruits
may be used in place of the sultanas (white raisins), cherries or angelica.
Soak the fruit in liqueur or fruit syrup.
