1/4 | c | Mustard seeds |
2 | tb | Black peppercorns |
2 | tb | Hot red pepper flakes |
6 | Bay leaves | |
1 | tb | Celery seeds |
1 | tb | Coriander seeds |
1 | tb | Ground ginger |
1/4 | ts | Ground mace |
1/4 | c | Salt |

Lowcountry Cooking_. I haven't tried it myself ~ but I'd *really* like to
know how it turns out. Since we've been discussing X-mas gifts, this looks
like it might be a good one!
Place all ingredients except the salt in a blender and blend until evenly
ground. Add the salt and blend briefly to incorporate the salt into the
seasonings. Store in well-sealed jars in a cool, dark, dry place.
Allow 1/2 T mix for each quart of water, plus half a lemon. For shrimp you
will need a quart of water per pound of shrimp.
