3/4	c	Purchased aloe vera gel or freshly prepared aloe vera gel
		Light green dye, optional

To prepare fresh gel, pick and wash 6 to 10 whole stems of aloe. Cut into small pieces and puree the pieces in a blender, making sure that all large pieces are pureed and that a gel results; do not add water. Place the grated basic soap in a saucepan. Measure 3/4 c of teh gel and add water until you have a 9 oz total. Stir this mixture into the soap and heat unitl the saop has melted completely. Add dye if desired and pour the soap into molds.
