Tall oil saponifies more quickly than any other oil, turning the soap mixture into a wonderfully smooth cream before the soap can be poured. This process is almost instantaneous, even when teh tall oil accounts for only a small percentage of the total fats and oils. Add scent to the traced soap; then spred as evenly as possible with a spatula. The final bars are rich and creamy looking with a generous lather. Trim the soap after the 18 hour insulation period.
