Title: Dry Shampoos
Categories: Shampoo *
Yield: 1 Tablespoon

TEXT ONLY

Using a dry shampooo can be an effective way to remove grease and dirt from your hair without getting it wet.

Dry Shampoos to try:

Salt: Make sure you use coarse or kosher salt, as regular cooking salt is too fine and you'll have trouble getting it all out.

Cornmeal: This leave the hair really shiny. It is the most popular dry shampoo.

Semolina flour: This is the coarse flour used im making pasta and is similar to cornmeal in results.

Orrisroot powder: Leaves the hair with a mild violet scent. This is a finer powder and takes a little extra brusing to remove.

Massage the powder directly into the scalp and through the hair. You may want to lean over a sink as you apply the powder. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes.

Using a clean, dry brush (use a natural-bristle brush to avoid static electricity), vigorously brus, using upward strokes, to remove all of the powder. Make sure you are outside, over a sink, or standing on a towel, sl this can be messy.
