1/4 | c | Butter |
1 | lb | Sweet onions; sliced, (this is great w/Vidalia onions) |
1 | tb | Honey |
1/4 | c | Dry Marsala wine |
1/4 | c | Olive oil |
1/3 | c | Garlic; chopped (about 12 cloves) |
| | Parmesan cheese; freshly grated |
| | Pasta; cooked |
Heat butter and oil in a lg. skillet over med. heat. Add garlic and stir
briefly. Add onions, cover and cook until soft. Add honey, reduce heat to
low. Cook uncovered for 30 mins., stirring occasionally. Add wine. Cook 5
mins. more. Toss with cooked pasta, serving cheese at the table to
sprinkle over.
