Title: Easy Broccoli and Cheese Quiche

Yield: 6 Servings
1 1/2 | c | Broccoli florets; chopped fine |
1/2 | c | Onion; diced |
1/2 | ts | Garlic; minced |
1 | tb | Sweet butter |
1 | c | Swiss cheese; grated |
1 1/4 | c | Milk |
3 | Eggs | |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
pn | Nutmeg | |
pn | Pepper | |
1 | tb | Sweet butter |
1 | Pastry shell (9") |
Place the broccoli, onion, garlic, and butter ina saute pan set over medium-high heat and stir-fry about 3 minutes, until onion and garlic are golden but not brown and broccoli is slightly softened. Set aside. Spread three-quarters of the cheese in the bottom of the pastry shell, Spoon the broccoli mixture on top. Beat the milk, eggs, and seasonings thororughly and pour slowly into pie shell, to fill to within 1/8 inch of the top. Sprinkle on the remaioning cheeese, dot with butter and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
