Title: Sausage and Cheese Roll

1 | lb | Ground turkey sausage |
1 | c | Fat free cheese,shredded |
Seasoned salt | ||
DOUGH: | ||
2 | c | Flour |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Soda |
1 | tb | Baking Powder |
1 | ts | Sugar |
1 | Egg white, slightly beaten | |
1 | c | Low fat buttermilk |
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine dry ingredients for dough and mix thoroughly. Combine egg white with buttermilk and mix. Add buttermilk mixture to flour mixture and stir. Turn dough out onto flowered surface and roll to 1/4 " thick. Use plenty of flour to prevent rolling pin from sticking. Place small pieces of ground turkey over the entire top of rolled out dough. Sprinkle entire surface with shredded cheese.
Sprinkle entire surface very lightly with seasoned salt. Starting at one side, gently roll the dough into one long roll. Roll carefully and trying not to tear the dough. When finished rolling, lay roll on foil or plastic wrap. Wrap and place in the refrig for at least one hour. Several hours is preferable. After chilling, slice log into 1/2 inch pieces and place pieces on baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and serve.
