1 | tb | Olive oil |
1 | Medium onion, fine chopped | |
2 | Cloves garlic, chopped | |
3 | Tomatoes, peeled and seeded | |
1/2 | ts | Sugar |
2 | Chiles serranos, chopped | |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | tb | Freshly ground black pepper |
1 | tb | Cilantro, chopped |
Fry the onions and garlic until limp. Add remaining ingredients except cilantro and cook gently, 15 minutes. Add cilantro and cook 1-2 minutes more. Serve hot or cold. Makes 2 cups.
