Title: Pie Crust for Meat Pies

Yield: 1 Recipe
2 | c | Flour |
2 | ts | Baking ppowder |
1 | c | Sweet milk |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | c | Shortening |
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and soda (if you use buttermilk). Add the shortening and rub together until as fine as flour. Add the milk and mix lightly. Place a little flour on your board, and roll out mixture to pie crust thickness. Line pan and add meat broth, slightly thickened; cover with crust or creamed Irish potatoes.
If you prefer, make buttermilk crust by using buttermilk instead of sweet milk, and add 1 ts. soda.
