4 | Trout fillets | |
4 | tb | Water |
4 | Lemon slices | |
40 | g | Butter |
25 | g | Plain flour |
250 | ml | Milk |
90 | ml | Fish stock |
1 | tb | Lemon juice |
Pre-heat oven to 180 °C / 350 °F / Gas 4. Place the trout in a greased oven-proof dish. Add the water and place a lemon slice on each fillet. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
Meanwhile, melt the butter, add the flour, milk and stock and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Simmer gently for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice.
Discard the lemon slices. Arrange the trout fillets on a serving dish, coat with the sauce.
