1 Egg, well beaten.
1cBreadcrumbs
1cSultanas
  Sugar, to taste.
1tsBicarbonate of soda
  Milk

Soak sago in 1 cup of milk, when sago has softened add melted butter, egg, breadcrumbs, sultanas, and sugar to taste, soda, mixed in a little milk, pour into a greased mould and steam for two and a half hours. from THE EMPIRE COOKERY BOOK published 1940 typed by KEVIN JCJD SYMONS
