1/2 | c | Sugar |
1 | c | Boiling water |
1 | tb | Cornstarch |
2 | tb | Diet unsalted margarine |
1 | ts | Pure vanilla flavoring |
1 | pn | Salt |
Combine sugar and cornstarch, then gradually stir in the boiling water,
stirring for 5 minutes on low heat. Remove from heat and add margarine,
vanilla and salt. Serve over Angel Food Cake, lowfat custards and puddings,
fat-free pastries, fruit gelatins or fresh fruit, especially bananas,
mangos, and other non-citrus fruits. Makes about 1 1/2 cups. From: Bobbie
