ONE FREE FORM RECIPE

Boil maple syrup until it forms a soft ball stage when tested in cold water (240 degrees on candy thermometer.)

Pour by tablespoon onto a bed of "clean" snow. Twist syrup from snow on fork or skewer.

Serve with hot doughnuts, crisp sour pickles and plenty of coffee.
